At Paloma Computers, our Boise based IT support specialists take pride in providing computer support without any mysteries. We make sure that our clients know what they’re getting from the beginning. The company was created in 2013 as a result of not agreeing to corporate standards and wanting to do better for the customer.

John Palomarez is the owner and creator of Boise’s leading computer shop, Paloma computers. I started out in 2008 at ITT where I started my degree in Computer Networking Systems. During my time in school I worked at HP on the NMCI or Navy Marine Corps Intranet Help Desk. I worked on major networking an helpdesk procedures.

After graduating from ITT I took an internship at Taos Mountain Division then was hired on to worked there for 3 years. Taos was a small division in downtown Boise and only had 6 technicians at the time. Taos grew to have over 45 technicians, and I learned skills and procedures for remote helpdesk work as all customers were out of state.

I then moved to another opportunity at Orion Integration in Boise. Here I learned more hands-on experience as all the customers were local. During this time, I also worked on server deployment, cloud solutions, more customer service and how important customer relations were to the overall happiness of the client.

I was offered a great opportunity by Fishers Technology to work as a Field Engineer deploying and designing networks and server setups. I worked as one of Fishers engineers then accepted the position as their Service Desk Manager. Here I learned about what works and what does not in the helpdesk field and started to want to do better.

I left Fishers in April of 2019 and decided to focus on my own IT support company and computer shop in Boise. Paloma Computers had been created some years before but was never mainstream, just a side venture. I decided with the help of friends and family to start Paloma Computers in Nyssa, Oregon as I saw a need to bring IT to an area that was growing and was lacking services. I’m grateful to be in a place that has so much potential and has been so kind. I look forward to growing in Nyssa and providing IT support to the surrounding areas and Treasure Valley in Idaho.
